Knitter Patricia Maxwell known as romance author Jennifer Blake invited Lisa to the Knit-Knackers Knitting Group

The Knit-Knackers knitting group, a recently formed offshoot of Heritage Quilt Guild, Jonesboro, Louisiana, welcomed Lisa at a special meeting on January 20, 2007.  With several beginning knitters in the group, Lisa fielded questions on every aspect of the craft from casting on and the benefits of Continental-style knitting to the uses for different needles and specialty yarns.  She was also kept busy with requests for displays of her expertise, including her fast action with a crochet hook and knitting needles.  Shared laughter, fellowship and good food provided by a local church made for a fun day.  The Knit-Knackers were particularly delighted with their gift bags from Lisa which were filled with beautiful Coats & Clark yarns, needles and collections of Lisa's patterns.  Lisa was surprised, in turn, by a gift basket piled high with two dozen autographed books in her native German, the translations of work from knitter Patricia Maxwell who is also known as romance author Jennifer Blake.  Those present were (left to right, front) Patricia Maxwell, Diane Moore, Lona Johnson and Betty Harper; (rear) Letty Strawbridge, Mary Roesemeier, Christine Cousins, Lynnette Bailey, Andrea Woods, and Lisa; (standing) Linda Hattaway-Cox, Gail Haile, and Melva Beard.
